As part of your permanent residence (PR) application, you will submit a work permit application. Upon meeting the eligibility criteria, you will be granted a work permit, enabling you to work as a caregiver for any employer. Once you have accumulated a minimum of 12 months of qualifying work experience, you are required to provide proof, and we will then make a final determination on your permanent residence application. Candidates must meet level 5 of the Canadian Language Benchmark in either English or French. Candidates must also assess their education by acquiring an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).
In order to acquire or complete the necessary work experience for permanent residence through the Home Child Care Provider or Home Support Worker Pilot, a valid and authentic job offer is required. The offered position should adhere to the following criteria:
